Our school sits next to the graveyard for the HFS Meeting. It's a lovely, hilly spot, filled with a variety of trees. Some of the gravestones are quite old. We have long studied the life cycle of the Monarch Butterfly, and wanted to make a welcome spot for the beautiful insects to feel at home. We found a clear space by the graveyard and decided to build a garden to raise and study Monarch Butterflies.
