Environmental Education
Supplemental to the science program is a special curriculum for
environmental education, which focuses on the study and appreciation
of the natural habitats of New Jersey, with each class concentrating
on specific areas. Classes frequently use the school and Meeting
grounds as an environmental laboratory, and visits to museums and
nature centers as well as talks by naturalists continue the focus
on habitat study. Each year, for example, fifth graders participate
in a three-day program in the Pinelands, culminating their study
of this unique New Jersey habitat.
