The Board of Haddonfield Friends School is
very pleased to announce the appointment of
Sharon Dreese as the next head of school.
Sharon will assume her new position as of 1
July, 2007.
Sharon has had extensive experience in
Friends Schools. For 13 years, she was a
senior administrator and Development
Director at United Friends School in
Quakertown, PA. She served as Interim
Head in 1989. Since 2004 she has been at
The Friends School of Atlanta, where she
serves as both a Middle School teacher of
Humanities, Science and Health and Director
of Institutional Advancement
Many of you had a chance to meet Sharon
when she was visiting Haddonfield Friends
School last week and from the overwhelming
sense of your comments, you are as delighted
as we are that she has agreed to become the
new head of our wonderful school.
In the upcoming weeks, we will be sharing
much more information about Sharon as we
begin to think about this new era in the life of
Haddonfield Friends with Sharon and with the
greater HFS community.
The Board, with a great deal of input from
faculty and parents, came to a unanimous
decision about hiring her and we hope that
the community will share our excitement
about Sharon, her special gifts and her ideas
about the future of HFS.
