SERVICE
PROJECTS
Service projects are an integral part of school life at HFS. All-school
projects include a monthly bag lunch collection for distribution
to a local community outreach program.; an active recycling effort
for paper , cans, plastics and batteries; collections of food ,
clothing and, seasonally, money for UNICEF and toys; food and equipment
for animals in local shelters and regular clean up of areas surrounding
the school. Individual classes also sponsor various short- and long-term
service projects, such as earning money to buy the food for a Thanksgiving
meal for an A.I.D.S. Coalition family and making regular visits
to a local retirement home
After School Activities
Students may participate in several activities that take place after classes are dismissed. Some of these include:
Bowling Club
Building Club
Cross Country
Daisy
Dance classes
Lego Club
Science Club
Sports Club
Private Instrumental music lessons, and
Yoga
