EXTENDED
DAY
(before- and after-school / summer program):
On-site before- and after-school care is available on school days.
This service is provided, at prevailing rates, from 7:00 am to the
beginning of the school day and from the end of the school day to
6:00 pm. The program is directed and largely staffed by HFS personnel.
A summer program is also available (currently for 10 weeks, June
through August) for children aged 4 - 12. Summer program hours are
from 9:00am to 3:00pm, with extended care available at both ends
of the day (mornings, 8:00-9:00; afternoons, 3:00-5:30). This program
is managed and largely staffed by HFS personnel.
FOOD:
Beverages and ice cream are available for purchase at lunch to
1st-8th graders. Students may bring a complete lunch from home,
or they can bring a sandwich to supplement what they buy.
Four days a week, students can order a lunch from a weekly menu
printed in the school newsletter.
